Highlight of today was actually probably the very last 15 minutes of the night. On the train ride home from birthday celebrations, I met a girl called Ella, who sat next to me and asked, 'Did you know that Leonardo DaVinci invented the scissors?' reading it from inside a juice bottle top and I said, "I did know that actually! And he was left handed, but he invented scissors for right-handed people."

We had a conversation about stuff that I talk to with my closest friends and I learnt she was studying music composition and she was a really beautiful person. If I was a boy, I would be dreaming hard tonight, true?

PS: Highlight before that was walking through the city on the way home from party thinking "Man I'm lonely and sort of lame" but then I walked past hundreds of 30 year old women singing Man I Feel Like A Woman at the Young & Jackson and realised I am not lame.

Happy birthday to me, I'm finally the age I feel I am.

The highlight of today was hanging with my friend Mikey. He's good to talk to. Also this afternoon, Lauren, Mikey and I walked into Savers with intentions of buying winter clothes and as we entered, our friend Gerry walked past us in a big floral dress with wicker shoes that he was planning to buy and it was hysterical. I'm 19 for just one more night.

The highlight of today was seeing a band called Neighbourhood who hail from Canberra and are three bands combined- danger Beach, TV Colours and Assassins88 (all from Canberra) play live at Bar Open. They were so good that it was almost a full body experience watching them.

Highlights of today:

a) seeing my favourite band, The Parking Lot Experiments live in Fitzroy again. They so smiley.

b) talking to a new Canberra migrant who's moved to Melbourne for similar reasons to me and talking about my art show with him.

c) pretend tapdancing across Brunswick Street with Lauren

Such a good life x

Highlight of today, man there are a few:

We had a salad night and Scream marathon at Bella's house and the salads were a highlight, as well as the rhubarb and apple cake Bella's mum made for us, as well as the amazing cookies & cream ice cream Lauren brought, and watching Scream was also really great.

Highlight of today was having belated semi-Easter themed hangs at my friends Meredith and Katie's house. I was planning to only stay there for a little bit because there was a big gig on at the Espy that I wanted to see but we had such a nice, warm time at Mer's that we stayed there all night and talked and laughed until my cheeks were swollen.

Today's highlight was seeing Lauren's parents and going to see my friend's Dad's Beatles cover band in St Kilda with them. Such fun lately.
